Looking to gain some job interview experience?

HR run training sessions based on how to do recruitment interviews.  The training is very hands on and we ask the delegates to form into panels and conduct some mock interviews. Whenever possible we try and recruit three or four students to be our mock candidates.

 

Student volunteers get briefed before their interview and will get feedback following their interview. We use a dummy job description that includes many common criteria found in real University job descriptions ( communications, IT skills, organisational skills, etc.) and the mock panels devise questions and run the interview as though it was real.

 

Student volunteers would need to be available to come to Thornby building (door 4) on Park Campus from 11.15 -12.30 on Friday 27^th May. Tea and coffee will be provided. Please email liam.norton@northampton.ac.uk if you are interested.
